Carly’s research background has involved work on national, European and international studies of children, education and health.

She is interested in the intricate pathways to positive and pathological functioning in children, issues of measurement, and the links between evidence, policy and practice in relation to child protection and welfare.

Carly was an Ad Astra Scholar in University College Dublin between 2011 and 2013, and it was from here she received her PhD in Developmental Psychology.
